Constant Contact (CC) is integrated with our CRM system, DonorPerfect (DP), and we’ve noticed an issue when sending communications through CC.
When a CC email is sent, new entries are sometimes being created in donor records that appear to be unrelated to the original contact. For example, when we review a donor record in DP, there may be no email address listed in either the primary or secondary email fields in that donor’s profile. However, after a CC communication is sent, a new activity entry appears in that donor’s record, even though they were not part of the original communication.
It seems like CC is logging communication activity in random or unrelated donor records. Since we have a large number of records in DP, this is creating a lot of confusion in our data.
We have been trying to work with DP & CC to resolve this issue. DP says its CCs problem and CC does not have a timeline as to when it will be fixed. Therefore, we have to STOP using CC, because it's proven to be unreliable and have to use another platform.
Is anyone else having this same issue? And does anyone have any idea what might cause the issue?
