The registration button in the email opens to the landing page. Is there an option to open the registration form instead?

If you have an event's landing page active, then event blocks in emails are going to reroute to the landing page first. If you don't want that, you'd either manually set the link / button to go directly to the registration page, or just deactivate the landing page, similar to how it worked in the older event system.
