I deleted contacts who are no longer members of our nonprofit organization. However, I have discovered that some of the contacts have rejoined. When I re-enter their contact information, it tells me the contact exists but does not allow me to save the new information.

You can attempt to include the contacts by using either the paste/type multiple or file upload techniques.
