Hey RogerS833,

You aren't doing anything wrong. You generally cannot copy an image directly from your computer (Ctrl+C) and paste it (Ctrl+V) into the email editor.

You must upload the image to your Constant Contact Library first, or use the "Insert" function.

There are two main ways to do this, depending on where you are in the editor:

Drag and Drop

  1. In the email editor, look at the left-hand sidebar and click the Images tab.

  2. Open the folder on your computer where your picture is saved.

  3. Drag the file from your computer folder and drop it directly onto the "Images" sidebar area. This will upload it.

  4. Once uploaded, drag the image from the sidebar into your email template.

The Standard Upload Method

  1. Click the Images tab in the left sidebar.

  2. Click the Upload button.

  3. Select the file from your computer.

  4. Once it is in your library, drag it into your email template.

Troubleshooting

If you are trying to upload and it still won't work, check these common issues:

  • Ensure your image is a JPG, PNG, or GIF. PDFs are documents, not images, and must be linked).

  • The image must be under 5MB.
