I belong to a non-profit organization. At an event we hosted, guests were asked to provide their email address on an intake form. They were then matched with a volunteer for discussion.
Is this considered 'implied consent' to receive emails. My organization's email list is for a newsletter. We are not actively asking for membership recruitment, but simply information about our society.
