I typically utilize Mail Merge through Windows, using emails that I have in an excel spreadsheet, and sending them via Outlook. I can only send a few at a time so I'd like to use CC but don't know how to use excel for mass emails utilizing a word document.

You can upload contact files as a means of importing them into your account. For guidance, see this support article.
Make sure your file is also formatted properly ahead of uploading, to make the import process smooth and complete.
