Outdated contact list

Hello, My company's contact list has not been kept up to date. With over 30,000 contacts, I am unsure of how to begin the process of deleting contacts. I feel some that bounce are still active email addresses. Does anyone have tips on where to begin?

HelloĀ @UrbanEngineersĀ ,

Ā

Firstly, I'd recommend deletingĀ your recommended-for-removal bounces. These are the bounce types that are the least likely to be valid - either because they're no longer active, incorrectly spelled, or their network have bounced them back in a way that would indicate they cannot deliver it.

You can use segmentation to filter outĀ contacts who've chronically not opened your emails. You can then further manage this segment by adding it to a list, determining which contacts may still be worth keeping (such as very recent additions based on Date Added), and then deleting all the remaining non-openers and the segment list. There's also our pre-built low engagement segmentation, which you can use to re-engage those specific contacts that rarely if ever open your emails.
