SMS for Small Healthcare Office - Collect Opt-In on patient intake form

We have completed the BAA for HIPAA compliance with Constant Contact, and want to start using SMS to communicate with individuals on our patient waitlist.

Ā

Today, we have them fill out a form to join our waitlist, which resides on our website and interfaces with our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. I want to be able to collect the 'opt-in' on that form that resides in our clinical management system instead of using the Constant Contact form. Is that allowed? If so, what documentation is required for us to stay compliant with FCC and Constant Contact policies for SMS messaging?Ā

HelloĀ @L72411Ā ,

Ā

The primary elements you'll need are the phone numbers and theirĀ consent date. This is an important compliance element, and will need to be included with the imports.Ā

I'd recommend checking out our SMS Permission Policy, as well as these articles for more info:

Additionally, you may wish to speak with our Review team to make sure everything is good on your side for the SMS consent collection and contact uploads.
