Uploading A CSV File Doesn't Pull In All Contacts

Hello, we're experiencing an issue where our CSV files are no longer pulling in all of our contacts. The file itself has roughly 41,000 contacts (just a name + an email field), but when the file is uploaded, constant contact shows only roughly 12,000 contacts uploaded. These uploads have worked properly in the past, so this appears to be a new issue.

For reference, our workflow is to typically pull a list from our contact management system, and then upload that file to a list we utilize for our contacts on constant contact. Most of these contacts we upload already are in constant contact and are in a list that we utilize each month to send our newsletter.

I've tested multiple of these larger CSV files and tested with new lists, each time the lists cap out at around 12,000 uploads. I've also removed duplicates on the CSV files as well. So starting recently, only a fraction of the 41,000 contacts are making it from the CSV file into constant contact.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi DavidW779 ,

Typically the go-to troubleshooting steps is 1) remove dupes, and 2) make sure all emails are in a single column, not multiple.

Beyond that, I'd recommend referring to this article, as larger list uploads can result in needing a lot more time for our system to read all the data. If you're finding that the system is having issues with the file, due to size / number of contacts, then I'd advise reaching out to Premier Support (contact info in linked article) for cleaner handling of the large list size.
