Using enable segmentation in an email

Hi - is it a must to click enable segmentation on all emails with a link?

Hello @KatieW665 ,

 

Click segmentation is for the purpose of assigning contacts to a particular list they may not already be a part of, when they click a specific link in an email. It's typically used as an "I'm interested" prompt to receive future mailings regarding the topic of the link.
