Is anyone else using the Wix integration? I was checking the bounce list from my monthly newsletter and recognized the address of a person who'd recently completed our contact form but never subscribed.
I take great care to make sure that people who visit my site or who reach out DO NOT have to sign up for my mailing list. It was very disappointing to discover that these individuals were being automatically synced to Constant Contact as subscribers. I immediately stopped the sync and am contemplating moving to another email service provider although my year isn't up.
Has anyone experienced this or did I just have my synchronization settings configured incorrectly?

Contacts who haven't given you permission to email them in Wix, and are not in the "Subscribed" category in Wix will be imported as "No Permissions Set" in Constant Contact. See our main support article on the Wix integration for more detailed info on setting up and maintaining the integration. If you need troubleshooting on your account's Wix integration, please call our general support and request a transfer to our Tier 2 integrations support team.
Remember that not all contacts in your account are necessarily subscribed / active. For example, unsubscribed and Awaiting Confirmation (Pending) status contacts can exist in your account, but do no count as active for the purposes of emailing compliance and billing. No permission set contacts would count as inactive, and thus not subscribed.
