Different ways to resend your email

I thought it would be helpful to call out the different ways you can resend your email, because there are actually quite a few ways you can do it depending on your goals!

Whether you need to fix a typo, reach folks who missed it the first time, or get your message in front of a brand new audience, here is a breakdown of the different methods—all lovingly crafted by our Knowledge Base team.

Resending to Non-Openers

Contacts don't open emails for a variety of reasons—maybe they were busy, or your email got buried on a heavy mailing day. Giving your campaign a second chance in the inbox can make a huge difference for your open rates.

Reaching New Contacts

Have new contacts joined your list after you already sent your email? Or maybe you just need to send a recent newsletter to one specific person?

  • Quick sends: If you only need to send a recent email (from the last 12 months) to a handful of people, you can send an email to a new contact or a group of new contacts straight from your Contacts page without needing to copy the campaign.

  • Larger audiences: If you have an entire list that was left off the original send, or you want to target a specific behavioral group, use the standard resend feature to resend an email to a list or segment. The system is smart enough that it will only go to the folks in those lists or segments who haven't already received it.

Fixing Mistakes

We've all been there—you hit "Send," and immediately spot a typo or realize the dates for your upcoming event changed.

  • Updating your content: While you can't pull an email back once it leaves our servers, you can resend an email with corrected or updated content. This workflow makes a copy of your sent email so you can fix the mistake and immediately resend it to the same audience. (Pro tip: add "Corrected" or "Updated" to your new subject line so your readers know it's not a duplicate!)
