A Different Way to Use AI for Email Marketing

If you're new to email marketing, one of the hardest parts is figuring out what to say.

Here's a simple workflow I've been using that might help.

Instead of asking AI to write your email, ask it to interview you first.

For example:

"I'm writing this week's email to my customers. Ask me five questions that will help you understand what I want to say. Once I answer, write the email in a friendly, conversational tone that I can copy and paste into Constant Contact."

I like this approach because the email starts with your ideas instead of generic copy.

Once you have a draft, you can even ask AI to:

"Format this so it's ready to copy and paste into Constant Contact. Include a subject line, preview text, short paragraphs, and one clear call to action."

One of the things I like about Constant Contact is that you don't even have to leave the platform if you don't want to. There are AI features built in that can help you brainstorm ideas and create content, making it easy to get started whether you already know what you want to say or you're staring at a blank page.

Have you tried using AI to help with your emails? If you have, what's worked well? If you haven't, what's holding you back?
