Getting higher open rates

If your open rates aren't where you need them to be, try these tips:

  1. Personalize your emails - Someone seeing their name in your email is more likely to get them to become more loyal readers of your content.

  1. Segment your lists - Identify why someone is on your list and send them emails that will resonate with them.

Examples:

  • Did they buy from you in the past? Add them to a customer list.

  • Did they attend an event? Add them to an invite list for future events.

  • Do they live in a certain geography? Add them to a list unique to their geography (ZIP code, city, etc.)

  1. Check your analytics

    Does a certain day/time get you more opens than other days/times? Schedule future emails to go out on the days/times when you know you get their attention.
