I've been a big fan of the birthday automation feature of Constant Contact for years, but it finally dawned on me how I might include half birthday emails. I thought I would have to set this all up using a brand new automation but instead you can just set the delay for six months after a person's birthday email goes out and send them a follow-up birthday card for their half birthday.
I know this obscure to some people but many really like to celebrate their half birthday. For instance mine falls on 11.11 and it's always been a very special day.
