The messy middle of marketing

You know what I don't see enough of? The in-between.

Everyone shares the wins: the campaign that crushed it, the email that got a 50% open rate, the post that went viral. But most of us are living in the messy middle, where we're just trying to figure it out one post at a time.

If that's you right now, I want you to know that's completely normal. Marketing is a skill, not a talent. It gets better with practice, consistency, and a willingness to try things even when you're not sure they'll work.

A few reminders for anyone in the messy middle:

You don't have to do it all at once. Pick one thing, do it consistently, then add the next thing.

Every expert was once a beginner. Yes, even the ones who make it look easy.

Progress counts, even when it's slow. A small, engaged list beats a big, disengaged one every time.
