While you're free to send as many emails as you'd like, it's essential to consider your contacts' preferences. Over-emailing can result in higher unsubscribe rates and spam complaints. A significant number of unsubscribes or spam reports, especially within a short time or from a single email, may lead to a review of your account.
In light of this, what is an email send allowance? It helps ensure the reliability of Constant Contact's email sending and is associated with managing our high deliverability standards. Our deliverability ensures your emails are successfully delivered to your contacts. Overage fees are assessed at $0.002 for every send over the maximum send allowance.
Here's how it works:
Send Allowance: Your monthly email send allowance is determined by your chosen email plan and your contact tier.
Automated emails like welcome emails, abandoned cart reminders, and automated email series are not included in your email send allowance or overage fee calculations.
Calculating Your Allowance: Your monthly email send allowance is determined by your email plan and your contact tier. Depending on your plan, you can send up to 10, 12, or 24 times the highest number of contacts in your pricing tier each billing cycle. For example, if you're in the 0-500 contact tier, your allowance could be 10 x 500 = 5,000 emails.
Checking Your Allowance: You can find your monthly send allowance and contact tier by going to the "Billing" tab in your account settings.
Overage fees are assessed at $0.002 for every send over the maximum send allowance.
