Salesforce Integration and Do Not Contact fields

We are about to use the (free) integration with Salesforce. I understand it is one-directional from Salesforce to CC, but I can't find information about how the connection treats the Do Not Email or Do Not Contact fields in Salesforce. Will both the autosync and the manual sync processes omit records that have either box checked?

According to our integrations team, if "Do Not Email" = True on the Salesforce side for a contact, then we will not import that contact. The Salesforce "Do Not Contact" field has no bearing on our subscription logic, so any applicable contacts would import as an active contact, if they're not also set to True for "Do Not Email."
