Email Sign-Up Tools to Help You Grow Your List and Your Business

The best way to grow your business is to start by building your email list. You do that by using sign-up tools that provide quick and easy ways for new subscribers to join.

The problem is that not everyone interacts with your business the same way—some visit your site, others follow you on social media, and some prefer face-to-face interaction. Fortunately, there are great tools available directly in your Constant Contact account for every situation.

5 Ways to Grow Your List in 2026

To find these tools, head to the left-hand sidebar menu and click Audience Growth > Sign-up Forms. From there, click the blue Create sign-up form button.

1. Website Sign-Up Forms

We offer four distinct styles to fit your website’s vibe:

  • Pop-up: Appears in the center of the screen based on a timer or "exit intent."

  • Flyout: Slides subtly onto the screen from the side—less intrusive but still eye-catching!

  • Banner: A broad block at the top or bottom of your page.

  • Inline: A static form embedded directly into your page (great for "Contact Us" pages).

💡 Pro Tip: Use our new Canva Integration to design beautiful background images for these forms without ever leaving Constant Contact.

2. AI-Powered Lead Magnets (New!)

Why just ask for an email when you can offer value? Use our Lead Magnet tool to create a mobile-friendly survey or gated piece of content. Our AI will even help you draft the questions and the follow-up "Thank You" email!

3. SMS & Text-to-Join

Reach your audience where they are—on their phones. Text-to-Join allows customers to join your email and SMS lists simultaneously.

Note: Make sure you’ve completed your SMS registration in your Account Settings first to comply with 2026 regulations!

4. Native QR Codes (Scan-to-Join)

No need for third-party websites anymore! When you create a Sign-up Landing Page, Constant Contact automatically generates a custom QR code for you. Simply click Share > Download QR Code and put it on your business cards, flyers, or restaurant menus.

5. Printed Sign-Up Forms

Sometimes old-school is best. If you're at a trade show or have a physical register, download our free Offline List Growth .pdf, print it out, and let people sign up by hand.
