Today is National Black Dog Day!

Did you know that black dogs are often overlooked in shelters due to something called Black Dog Syndrome? From superstitions to the simple fact that darker coats don’t always stand out in photos, black dogs are often the last to find homes.

National Black Dog Day was established to overcome this stigma and encourage the adoption of black dogs.
