I know a lot of us have a soft spot for our local shelters (and maybe a few animal companions from them, too). As someone who’s worked for a number of shelters in the past, I know how much it means when people show a little extra kindness. We always loved it when folks brought in treats — cookies, donuts, cupcakes — anything we could snack on throughout the day was always appreciated!
