[Events 2.0] Increase or remove registration timer

Our event registration requires registrants to choose an address for their volunteer assignment. This may take longer than 25 minutes. Can the countdown timer be eliminated or the time extended?

We're updating the status of this idea to more accurately reflect its current status with our engineering team, and also made slight changes to the subject line in order for it to be more easily found. We can't guarantee a commitment to deliver on this feature request, but it should indicate some awareness that we have heard your feedback and could be taken under consideration for a future release.

At the moment, @FirstNameL57983 , anyone registering that times out the registration page would have to re-fill out their info. As a workaround, I'd advise including your list of addresses or other pertinent info in the initial invite, or on the landing page prior to the registration page.

We just wanted to give a quick update regrding the event timer functionality. Our devs have made visual enhancements to warn when registrants are nearing session timeout. When the registrant gets down to 1 minute, the registration page will open a pop-up which allows them to add more time. The full list of changes are:

• The time turns yellow at 5 minutes
• Time turns red at 2 minutes and displays the “Add time” option
• At 1 minute, we display the pop-up to confirm if the registrant needs more time
• “Add time” adds an additional 10 minutes to the session

As this is not customization of the timing, nor the ability to remove the timer, we will leave this thread open to continue gauging interest and collecting use cases regarding event timer management.
