Hate the new import process. It doesn't indicate if any contacts were new or updated. This is horrible. I have not idea what happened with an import any more, which gives me no confidence that it occurred properly. Please add back a notice of what happened with an import.

This is already the available functionality of file and multiple import methods. 

 

If the file you uploaded held a large number of contacts, you're taken directly to your Contacts Activity page to check the progress of the import. Otherwise, you'll see a message at the top of the screen indicating that your import was successful.
