custom inline form code

Hello, Is it possible to build a completely custom "inline form"? The form builder in CC is very weak, so we were hoping to be able to create our own form that posts to the same endpoint. It appears that CC requires the "Universal JS" code to embed the inline form. Was hoping to basically extract the final HTML that this creates and customize it ourselves before embedding on our website. Is it possible or is there some security/cross-domain stuff going on to prevent us from doing this?

Hello @kevincarbon ,

If you're using any of our coded forms, the universal code is absolutely necessary, otherwise there wouldn't be a way to connect with our API.

You're welcome to build your own sign up form using code outside of our system. Once you're ready to connect it with our API, you'd reach out to the API Developer / Web Services team, either via their main site, or their Community board. This support team won't be able to help you build the form from scratch, they're only going to be able to provide the necessary resources/guidance for connecting to our system.

Hi William,

Connecting to the same API that the CC Form Builder uses is exactly what we want to do. I had a quick review of the API Documentation and I did not see anyway to submit to a sign-up form through the API. We don't need help building the form (we are developers), just looking for a solution so we can customize our own form on our website and POST it to the same API that CC's form would use, to get the same functionality within CC for Automations, etc..

Should I cross-post this to their Community board?

If you post to their board or reach out to them through their site, make sure to include the context that you are developers and already have the form made, you just need to connect with our API.
