This 4.5 acre space has been a gorgeous backdrop to charity events, art showcases, weddings up to 250 guests, retreats, and even the Shelter Island Conference was held in 1947 which featured Oppenheimer himself. The Rams Head Inn received a plaque in recognition of the Shelter Island Conference that contributed so much to modern scientific thought.
