Ability to attach multiple links to a single image

Still crazy that this is not an option. The mobile versions of our emails look so poor and create for double the work time to try to make something look good in both. You also don't offer the ability to offer multiple links on one image area making the layout look terrible and everything stacked on top of each other! Please correct this.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for sharing your feedback! We completely understand the desire to create highly custom, complex layouts and the frustration when a design doesn't translate perfectly to a mobile screen.

While adding the ability to attach multiple different links to a single image (often called an "image map") is Not Currently Planned, there is a very specific technical reason we do not support it: Mobile Responsiveness.

Because ensuring your emails look great on mobile is a top priority, image maps are actively discouraged in modern email design. When a single large image shrinks to fit a mobile screen, the hidden coordinate data used to create those multiple clickable zones does not scale reliably across different email apps (like Gmail, Outlook, or Apple Mail). This results in broken links, overlapping click zones, and a very frustrating experience for your mobile readers.

To achieve the exact look you want while guaranteeing it works on mobile, we highly recommend "slicing" your graphic. Instead of uploading one massive image, crop it into a few smaller, distinct images before uploading them to Constant Contact. You can then place these smaller images side-by-side in a multi-column layout within the editor and apply a single, distinct link to each one. This ensures that when the email stacks on a mobile device, the images and their respective links resize beautifully and remain 100% clickable.

Because industry-wide email standards have moved away from image maps in favor of responsive block design, we are going to close this thread to keep our idea board current and actionable. Thank you again for sharing your workflow with us!
