Ability to put Ticket details into confirmation and follow-up emails

The event registration with different tickets is great. But it is severely limited by the fact that I cannot send the registrant a list of the tickets they chose. Imagine that it's a conference and they have to pre-select two workshops out of 20. How do I send them a follow-up email showing the two sessions they've chosen? It's impossible right now. This seems like a crazy bad oversight to me.
