[Events 2.0] Email all registrants and guests for an event

Please add the feature to email all people on an event list to notify guests of info regarding the event.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your feedback! While adding a single, native "Email All Attendees (Including Guests)" button directly inside the Events 2.0 dashboard remains Acknowledged and under consideration by our product team, we want to explain how you can accomplish this today and why guests are handled a bit differently than primary registrants.

When a primary registrant signs up, their email is automatically verified and they become the main point of contact for the order. However, for guests, many event organizers only require a First and Last Name (to save time during checkout). If the registration form is not explicitly configured to force the primary registrant to input a unique email address for every single guest, the system physically cannot message them.

The Workaround: You can still easily email your attendees by utilizing the standard Email Campaign builder rather than looking for a button inside the Event dashboard!

Phase 1: When you publish an event, Constant Contact automatically creates an internal list in your account for the people who register.

  1. Create a standard Email Campaign (e.g., "Event Update: Parking Info!").

  2. When you get to the scheduling screen, look at your Lists. You will automatically see a list named after your event (e.g., Event: Your Event Name).

  3. Select this list and hit send! Best Practice: In the very first line of this email, include a bold note that says: "Please forward this update to any guests you registered!"

Phase 2: Emailing Guests directly If you configured your event registration form to strictly require an email address for every single guest, you can message them directly with a quick data sync:

  1. Go to your Event Dashboard and click the Reporting tab.

  2. Export your Registrants list (which includes the guest data) to an Excel/CSV spreadsheet.

  3. Import that spreadsheet into your main Contacts tab to create a new, static list (e.g., "All Attendees - Spring Gala").

  4. Send your update email to this newly imported list so every individual inbox receives it!

We are keeping this thread marked as Acknowledged so our engineering team can continue to evaluate ways to streamline the event communication process directly from the dashboard. Thank you again for helping us improve!
