Why this matters:
Real-Time Targeting: Previously, achieving advanced targeting (like reaching contacts who clicked your last SMS link, live in a specific region, or made a purchase in the last 30 days) required manually copying a segment into a new list.
Automatic Updates: With this release, you can send SMS campaigns directly to your segments. Since segments automatically update based on the rules you define, your targeting is always real-time and behavior-based.
A quick reminder on the difference:
Lists are static groups—contacts stay on a list until they are manually removed or unsubscribe.
Segments are rule-based filters within lists—they automatically adjust as your contact data changes.
Eligibility: This feature is available to all accounts with the SMS add-on and an approved SMS registration. You will see the option to target a segment when creating your next SMS campaign.
