Hello,
When I was in the process of going through the steps to purchase a Constant Contact subscription I was presented with an upsell. That's no problem in itself. But I was surprised to see that it was an SEO package. I assumed that SEO was core to the entire software. My question is, do I need to add the extra SEO subscription? It nearly doubles the monthly cost.
Hello @DanielS0412,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community! That is correct, if you would like the SEO add on please select your Website & Stores tab and it will cost an extra $15 a month. Thanks!
Thank you, Zoe. I am wondering what additional SEO features are provided with the added subscription. What is given that isn't provided in the base subscription?
Thank you.
If you create a website through the Website Builder available in your Constant Contact account, the website is setup to be as baseline search-engine optimized as possible. However certain personalized elements from users may cause the true SEO of the website to be different (redirect links, coloring, the number of elements on a single page that need to load up, how long a page is, etc.)
The SEO addon is an additional service that can be used to actively measure a website's optimization (including websites built outside of us), and also compare your sites to other sites you list, such as a competitor's. Additionally the SEO addon will provide tips and other info specific to your site, which either you or your webmaster can utilize to further optimize your site(s).
Ultimately it comes down to how competitive you want your site to be, and how visible you want it to be on search engines. It'll also depend on how new you are to building and running a website, as more experienced users may already have the knowledge and insight to optimize their sites.
