v3 api returns Email address is invalid for no apparent reason

The API call to the endpoint https://api.cc.email/v3/contacts/sign_up_form returns "Email address is invalid" for most calls. Here are five example email addresses all rejected as "invalid" (both by my production application and also using the "test" feature of the API docs):

tylerader@yahoo.com
jtheodore@siebert.com
PAMELATJOHNSONPHR@GMAIL.COM
bapslansdale@gmail.com

The error message 'Invalid email address' is typically caused by our compliance system detecting multiple sign ups to several Constant Contact accounts from the email address that caused the error. I can confirm that all 5 of the listed examples have been detected as having signed up to multiple accounts in a short time causing the system to block sign ups from these addresses.

This answers why it happens but we need to know how to fix this. We are ending up with 10 to 15 clients over the past 2 months who are not on our mailing list because of this error.

How do we, or Constant Contact fix this?

If you’d like to provide us with example contacts who have run into this error when being added to your account, we would be happy to investigate and confirm the reason for the error.
