I would love to see the ability for Lists to be added as a column on the All Contacts page. That would make it easy to see at a glance which lists a contact is subscribed to (many of my contacts belong to multiple lists). I like General_Alre's suggestion above: "I would like to see, when viewing a given contact list, columns to the right listing all lists for which the contact may belong. Under each column, I'd like to see simple check marks that can be unchecked (or checked) to remove (or add) the contact from a particular list. Then, the ability to "save" the changes."
