Thank you to JeffP08400 for your thoughtful comment on this 'situation'.  As you can see from the rather long string of members commenting, this is a real problem in terms of time wasted recreating already designed blocks. I, like you, use a variety of 'backdoor' cut-and-paste methods as a work-around, but all of these need some redesign by me as much but not all of the formatting moves.  As Pro-Art also commented, you can copy an entire campaign and then tweak it, which I do also utilize.  However, there are always changes/updates being made between similar campaigns, as we are a membership organization and are always updating our event information, i.e. who is participating, updated deadlines, etc...  The solution to me is simple -- return the HTML function for the blocks or get the programmers working on a block storage solution.     ... Thank you SRVAssociations and InstituteofNonProfitLeadership for commenting on my post.  It sounds like your organizations use email communication in a similar way to our Chamber. I just sent an eBlast today that took much longer than it should have to pull together, as I had to have two windows open, cut and paste and input information that had already been designed in previous emails. Precisely, ChristinaD. Or, if the programming for that is too challenging, then just add the HTML option into each block's options. It's a little more work, but definitely a lot less than the rebuilding of emails we are doing currently. You could then just hit the HTML key, copy the code, open your new email with a new block, paste the code in and viola, everything appears just as you would like it. Yeah, SethG93 for commenting on this topic!! It seems that Constant Contact either is not reading this feed and/or lacks the programming foresight to either see the issue from the customer's perspective or attempt a fix. I think the answer is a fairly simple one - either add the ability for us to access the HTML code for each block so that we can copy and paste ourselves, or create a content library for each account, similar to the images library  and documents library we all have now, so that we can save content blocks there as we do images in the images library and pdf's in the documents library. ... Thanks everyone for commenting on this subject.  There are obviously a lot of us out there designing emails that know how to utilize HTML and are in need of some solution in the Third Generation Editor that allows for us copy/paste already created content into new email campaigns - a content library so to speak, that works in the same way that we can access pictures for any email campaign.  Constant Contact - This can be done.  Since in the Third Generation Editor we can now move entire blocks of content throughout a specific email, we should also be able to either move the blocks to an area where they can be uploaded and saved for future use or return the HTML editor function.   ... The Third Generation Email Editor allows for blocks of text to be moved, copied, throughout a single email.  However, it also makes it infinitely more difficult to use those same text blocks in different emails without having two windows open and copying and pasting from a block in one email to a new email, or having to recreate an already created design anew in the next email.  It would be great to create a text block corral, for lack of a better term, so that you could store text blocks and have them available to drop load into future emails without all the copying, pasting, or designing from the start; similar to how pictures/images are stored. Or, include a button that opens the code for the entire box so that you can copy and past it into a new text block. The Second Generation Email Editor, though less agile than the Third Generation, made utilizing blocks from one email to another a breeze by simply going in, copying the code, then pasting the entire code into a new text block. ... After looking over the 3rd Generation Editor - It seems like it would be very useful and faster for those that do have a lot of design background or do not know HTML code to load content to a given template. However, for those of us that like to push the envelope and enhance upon what is available by inserting additional code, along with features that we have designed from previous 2nd Generation Editor Emails; First, it would be great to add back the HTML code option - because no matter what, sometimes code 'pops', and it would be nice to be able to go in and control/fix that. And, Second, it would be great to devise a method by which we can copy blocks from 2nd Generation Editor Emails and place them in a 'corral' in the editing portion of the 3rd Generation Editor, so that we can 'drop and drag' them into these new templates. ...
