I'm not sure I understand your question. When you drag out the image (which can only go so far as the email's inner body edge), is it being distorted, or are you referring to something else?
Or are you trying to make the blank placeholder itself taller? Is there a reason you can't replace the placeholder with the image you want, then drag it out?
