Using Domo as our data visualization tool. Trying to connect to constant contact data. Receiving error: “Domo is ready, but this Constant Contact account is over its rate limit quota. If the issue persists, consider raising your account rate limits with Constant Contact.” Domo has looked at this and stated that we need to investigate it with the Constant Contact support team. We need to see if the API call limits can be increased within the Constant Contact platform. Domo stated that they can only make the API call from their side. How can we fix?

As with most APIs, our API has rate limits to help maintain stability and security. Our standard API access has a rate limit of 10,000 calls per day, and 4 calls per second. Domo is hitting their calls per day limit as they have several users. We have reached out to Domo to suggest they become a member of Constant Contact's Technology Partner program, as our Partners enjoy higher rate limits.
We recommend reaching out to Domo to urge them to become a Constant Contact partner so that their API Key rate limits can be increased.

The rate limit is attached to the API Key. I'm not directly familiar with Domo's integration so I do not know if they own the API Key or if you own the API Key. Whoever owns the API Key for this scenario should reach out to us at webservices@constantcontact.com and include the API Key and we can look at why the limits are being reached and what options are available.

Normally the API Key is something the developer of the integration has configured on their end and you would not have access to it. However; there are some developers that have designed their integration where the end-user needs to provide their own API Key and if Domo is one of those integrations it would have been something that you would have had to sign-up for when you first started using Domo. If you do not remember getting an API Key to use Domo then most likely you do not have access to the API Key and the Domo developers would need to reach out to us themselves.
