How to Create Images of Multi-Page PDFs for Sending In Your Emails

If you add a PDF file to your Library on Constant Contact, you have the option to generate a PNG image file of the initial page. Some users have expressed interest in being able to convert PDFs with multiple pages into image files directly on Constant Contact, rather than just the first page. Currently, this functionality is not offered, but we’re attentively taking note of user suggestions and relaying them to our developers.

Here are a few ways to achieve this outside of Constant Contact:

  • Canva: Canva provides a free converter tool that can split your PDF into separate images. You’ll need a Canva account, but signing up is free, and Canva integrates with Constant Contact, making the process straightforward. I’ve tested this method and can confirm it works.
    • Choose your PDF document and Canva will change it into a different format.
    • Canva will take you to its editor interface where you’ll see the separate pages laid out vertically.
    • Click the download option, choose PNG as the file type, select the pages you want, and click Download. This will generate a ZIP file.
    • Extract the individual image files from the ZIP file.
    • Upload the image files to your Constant Contact library or while working on a campaign. Alternatively, use the Canva integration, but note that it only supports importing one image at a time, so you’ll have to upload each one manually.
  • Adobe: With an Adobe Acrobat license, it is possible to convert individual PDF pages into various image formats.
  • Third-Party Websites: There are many third-party websites dedicated to converting file types. While we can’t personally verify all of them, you can find them through online searches. Use these sites at your own discretion.

If you’d like to see this feature added to Constant Contact, head over to the dedicated Product Ideas thread, hit the Kudos button, or leave a comment. This will help us track and prioritize your request for our developers.
