I'm very sorry to hear you are not happy with our editor and would love to hear more about your experience. Have you recently switched from our 2GE editor? What are the reasons that you do not like our new editor? What are your biggest pain points while using it?
I used to enjoy building my monthly email for the Lower Columbia Chapter of the Ice Age Floods Institute. I received CC awards many times for my open and click-through rate. That changed about 3 months ago. I did not switch anything. I received a notice that you "upgraded" the editor. I liked the flexibility of the old editor.
To start, I used to have more templates to choose from. Then it was easy to change the format. I could go from one column to two or three. I could put borders around each. I could add photos with captions and borders. I could put in links to articles with it's own look and feel. I have an art background and liked how I could put together an email that I felt really good about. Now, it seems like the program fights me on everything I do and now I have to just put out a "plain vanilla" meeting notice. I suspect that my open rate and click-through rate will drop precipitously as my readers see that my notices are less interesting to look at.
I know you have tutorials and seminars where I can learn your new system, but I don't have time or interest in that. I spend a lot of time gathering material and photos to put in the email. I am saddened that I can't use this collateral material (at least in the way I used to). I have recommended Constant Contact in the past, but not now.
We're updating the status of this idea to more accurately reflect its current status with our engineering team and also made slight changes to the subject line in order for it to be more easily found. At this time, we do not have an update to share as we are continuing to convert templates to our cross-platform editor which will allow us to focus on making updates specific to it. We can't guarantee a commitment to deliver on this feature request but it should indicate some awareness that we have heard your feedback and could be taken under consideration for a future release.
