Events 2.0 - RSVP to Registration

In the previous events platform, I could include an RSVP block in an email that allowed invitees to either decline the invitation or register to attend. The RSVP block in events 2.0 seems to act more like a poll--it collects responses to one or more options, but doesn't direct the yeses to register, nor does it appear to update invitee status to attending, not attending, or non-responder. Is there something I'm missing? The inability to customize the formatting of the RSVP block is also a frustration, but minor in comparison.

Hello @L07543 ,

The RSVP block has the same functionality as the one in the regular email editor. The RSVP block isn't really meant to work with event invites, since the whole point of the invites is to fulfill that need of pushing contacts to the landing page or registration page.

I'd recommend utilizing either the default design for event emails that include an event block, or just link directly to the event's landing page or registration page

Thank you for your response. The synced event blocks appear to be more customizable that they did when events 2.0 was in earlier phases, which is helpful. I don't see that I can specify whether I want the synced Register button to link to the landing page--the apparent default, and not helpful for my purposes--or the registration page. Am I overlooking something?

The default functionality of the button in the event block is to link directly to the registration page. You can delete that button, and manually drag over a button block to link to the landing page, or just add a button so there's two for each redirect- one to the LP and one to the registration.
