I've been unable to change the "Outer Background" to a color or a pattern. Why is that?

Hello @CrossofGrace ,

Did you use the section editor (the little pencil in the top-left corner) to edit your email's background, margins, and other outer elements? If so, this would be overwriting the defaults select in the Design tab for the outer background. In order to edit your outer background, you'd need to use that editing tool instead.
