Text Size Keeps Changing In Editor

It doesn't matter what size I set the text to, it will revert back to 12pt font when I go to another line.

Is there any effort going towards actually fixing this?

I am sorry to hear this is happening. I'm not sure if it's exactly the same as what is talked about in the link you referenced. It would be helpful to investigate your specific case. Could you send an email to social_support(at)constantcontact(dot)com with your username, a reference to this community post, and the name of an email campaign where this is happening? I want to see if I can replicate it on my end or maybe see if there is a quick fix we're not seeing.
