We currently direct Google Ads traffic to a landing page on our website. We ask for an email address, and on submission, we redirect them to a thank you page with a link to a report they wanted. We don't do any verification of their address, so they could submit anything (eg john@NotARealDomain.com) and get our report. If we set up a landing page in Constant Contact, I see the documentation says we can add a Google Tag to the page, but that only tells us someone has visited the page, not that they've successfully submitted a contact address. It's not clear in the documentation, but can we add the Google tag to the Thank You page? We would then be able to count it as a Conversion in Google Adwords.
