Agreed.  I moved to CC a few years ago, before they went to the streamlined methods and at first loved it.  As soon as we made the decision to pay for this service, feeling it was worth it, things changed.  Less user design abilities seemed to be their mode of operation.  Did they lose their best coders?  So I have a little time before my current membership is up but I am very seriously going to look at my old service and see if they still offer the same (or better) design abilities that they did when I left...  So CC you have 2022 to bring some level of user design abilities back.  Things I am looking for:  greater button control, more color control of blocks not full page widths, more side to side design potential, and much more that I don't have time to list right now! ... Button size changes not linked to what you write inside. (Small, Medium, Large, Full width) Borders on the buttons. Rounded corners on buttons. Vertical lines between boxes (without having to use a work around). Control over which boxes gets read in order between email (computer) view to pad or phone view. Better border controls around the entire email or individuals areas. Editing box pop-ups further away from copy so that you can see what you are working on.   ... and these are just a few off the top of my head without taking hardly any time to think about it.   ... I still don't know why even simple concepts which numerous people are expressing are not being addressed.  If you need a simplified version for some people fine but why do you not allow those of us with some design capabilities to design. Not being allowed to change the size of a button or outline it with another color -- come on -- these are simple items. What if I want a border around my entire email or want a line between two sections - yea - I figured out a work around but really!  The old system was fantastic.  This is not being able to get used to the new system it is not liking the inflexible design capabilities of the new system.   Please, please, please bring back at least some of the old features! ... I don't think you get it Constant Contact Development Team!    You are not hearing you customer base.  Yes, maybe switching to a new editor is challenging and time consuming.  And no one wishes to take more time doing what they do, especially when we are all very busy and doing more and more every day with not enough time. The real issue is that in your effort to make things easier and efficient, you totally missed it. If you make changes that improve the look, function, and usability, people don't mind as much. Instead of doing that, we spend all of our time and effort for something that does not look as nice and does not allow for creativity and flexibility like the old system.   The lack of ability to make the changes you wish for the look you want has been lost. The older editor was absolutely wonderful and when switching from our old provider we felt like we was moving from Pontiac to a Cadillac.  Then all of the sudden, moving from the trial to the purchased system, we went backwards!  We now not only have to spend way to much time trying to figure out how to create the great looking emails but we waste time because the options which used to be available are no longer there!  They can't be found. (i.e. adding spaces to a box to make it bigger!  REALLY?)   The new program does not allow for the same flexibility and creativity you had in easy to locate spots.  Why? Is development team not able to figure out how to keep the great features you used to offer?  Why would you ever move backwards in capabilities not forward?  If you plan to bring back some of these features, why release the product before you do?  In searching comments, it seems as though you have many customers who are not happy?  What are you going to do about it?  You had a absolutely great, great product.  Now... it is just like the others out there.    We are beginning to question why we made the decision to upgrade to what we felt was the better product and spend the fairly significantly more $$$ to just have it nearly back to what we had (and for a significantly lower price)?  Maybe we need to rethink our purchase. ... Yes, please allow for button sizing.  It looks very tacky to have five different button sizes in a message.  I know you must have been trying to make this easy which for some is great, but others are very disappointed to no longer be able to change the sizes of the button based on the space, versus the size of the words inside.     ... I am a new client of CC and I am quite disappointed.  During my trial phase of using the program, before we made the decision to purchase it, I used the various features and ways to modify the look of the emails and was quite pleased.  I was able to do so much more than my previous service.  When the decision was made to purchase the system, at a greater cost but what we deemed worth it, I was shocked to see a new format.  I was no longer able to do what I had done and fell in love with in the previous weeks of trial phase.  I understand how you feel this new update may be easier for some users who have no design capabilities or want to only be able to do things very quickly with minimal effort. There are days when this is a benefit. There are some of us though who have design abilities and would like to be able to use those abilities within the emails.  Little items such as choosing a font size (not predetermined) or different line spacing.  I definitely am not happy I can no longer change box sizes, shapes, and outlines, etc.  Why did you have to simplify to such an extreme!  Or why not give people options on the level of manipulations we would prefer.  I am disappointed.  If you do nothing else, please immediately move the format box a little farther away form where you are working so you can see what you are doing and how if works with other items within close proximity (or better yet - allow users to determine where they would like the format boxes to be!)  Now after writing this - and re-reading it, I see there are just so many little things but these little items add up.  Those who made the decisions on these changes just plain and simple got it wrong.  Provide more flexibility and bring back the great features you had. ...
