I'd recommend just going with a normal contact file upload. Any contacts (email addresses) being reuploaded will simply have new info updated accordingly (list membership, name, physical address, etc.), but otherwise left alone in the import process.

I'd advise exporting your CSV file from that database, make sure it's properly formatted, then upload it into your Constant Contact account's contacts.
If you need assistance on exporting the contacts from your database, I'd recommend reaching out to that database's support.
