Your fixed start time may differ from event times.   For instance, we register people for all our events from 6 to 6:45 pm but the event doesn't start until 6:45 pm.  This makes a big difference for people who have to travel across town to our event. Your system forces the 6:00 time into the defaults.  It would be good if this wasn't forced into things so that  the attendees could see the two times for the two different periods. Thank you. ...
