The account's owner can replace the main account contact address. If the address they're trying to replace with isn't verified on the account yet, it'll need to be before it'll be available as an option. If the old address is no longer in use between the main account address or billing addresses, and you don't want it associated with the account anymore, the account owner can also remove the verified address.
If you're unable to login as the account owner to make these changes, and the account owner is no longer available with your organization, then I'd strongly advise calling our general support during their open hours. They'll need to confirm security permissions live, but once you've confirmed those with them, they can securely go about getting the transfer case setup and manually managing those addresses for you.
