We did a Segment report of contacts who haven't opened an email in 2 years. So we unsubscribed 1,500 of them.. But digging deeper we checked some of the addresses for engagement, and found many had actually Opened older emails recently or even within past year. We chatted with customer service who told us it was a glitch with CC reporting! But now CC has said we can't resubscribe them as a list and have to individually and manually resubscribe the ones who did open emails. These contacts Did NOT opt-out, we Unsubscribed them due to mistake CC did in segment reporting. Going forward, we would like CC to make it easier to just upload the addresses again of those who WE Unsubscribed that didn't opt out on their own. It is too confusing to our customers to have to resubscribe due to no fault of their own and many would just ignore signing up again.
