we need **Multiple Different* welcome e-mails, or *immediate* AutoResponder emails You (Constant Contact) currently only allow ONE single Welcome e-mail. This is a problem for your customers (like me) that have MULTIPLE e-mail lists of people with multiple DIFFERENT interests. I do NOT want to send the same welcome e-mail to people who sign up on totally different lists. It would make no sense to do that. So, I am forced to choose between: 1) sending an e-mail that would appeal to the majority of the lists (risking alienating those with interests in the minority), OR... 2) I can just send a ridiculously bland, generic welcome e-mail to everyone saying, "Hi, this is to acknowledge that you signed up for a list but I can tell you what list or interest area you signed up for since Constant Contact will only let me send the one same welcome e-mail to everybody." OR.... 3) I could turn OFF welcome emails totally, so that NOBODY gets a "welcome e-mail. And then I would ONLY send out to my lists using AutoResponder. That approach would work best for keeping a targeted/specific message to each of the individual lists. BUT... the downside is that Constant Contact will not start sending them AutoResponder e-mails until a day after people sign-up.. This delay is a problem. In our inpatient Internet age, when people sign up and provide their e-mail address to a professional website they expect an acknowledgment/welcome e-mail within minutes, not days! The business world is fast moving. If I have a potential customer interested in buying my goods or services today, I definitely do NOT want to wait until tomorrow to start sending them e-mails! By then, they may have surfed the Internet some more and found a person/company other than me to provide them with the goods/services that they were trying to sign up for with me. SOLUTIONS: 1) Allow different, individualized welcome e-mails for each different list. 2) Allowed the AutoResponder emails to beginning immediately (not having to wait until the next day) for those Constant Contact customers who have their "welcome email" turned off. 3) Other options that I am not thinking of??
