Apparently (after chatting with CC support) a contacts email client may have bots that are checking for spam when they receive emails. The bots are clicking on the links. I looked closely at the export of people that clicked on the email links of my campaign. A large majority of the contact who clicked had 5 clicks - which makes no sense (there weren't many links in the email).
