PDF upload not showing images ?

Hi there, wondering if someone can help me out here.. i'm trying to upload a PDF, it was 5.2MB, but too large, so we've had it compacted, but wondering if too much to 551kb ? Everything has downloaded fine, just not the images. Hoping to receive some help shortly Thanks Julia Dunn France
