Any good ideas on how to track an RSVP what has more then one attendee RSVP

The need is to send an event email out to a stable email list of 400 people. We need a good RSPV number, but each person, at this event may/will bring up to three more guests. people who will not be CC contacts.  CC does not support a way to select a number of attending in the RSVP function of the email.  We're going to be doing a number of these events and it's starting to feel like CC is moving away from event coordination (they dumped the name badge printing function a while back, which was one reason we started using the software a while back).

 

Right now, I am putting a section after the RSVP block asking them to PLEASE email me separately if they plan on bringing more than themselves. It's cumbersome. I am not a power user, but I really like CC.  Other products do name badges, RSVP census capabilities, and general event organization better than CC. I just don't want to move on if I don't have to. Does anybody have any suggestions or workarounds?

Hello @ThomasT15,

 

So besides the name badges, is there some specific functionality in regards to what you're needing that's missing for the event tool? Is there a reason you're trying to use the email RSVP block, instead of the event tool's basic functions to collect number of guests and other pertinent registration details?

My primary issue is I just need a total RSVP number.  We're not doing tickets or needing to track anything beyond the total people we need to buy food for.  I did just get off the phone with support and she did a great job (love your support by the way!! Good folks, super helpful!) of going over the events tool.  We started this out with just an email campaign, but we have time to switch it to an event tool-based program. I will do a demo for the gang tonight and we will figure it out.   BUT WE STILL WOULD LOVE you guys to put Badges back in the system at some point. Hopefully before 2027 and out 50th reunion.  Thanks again!
